1941, The Orange Bowl Classic

January, 1941 -- Guess this was the place to be and the ticket to have if living in Miami during the winter of 1941. My father took this shot of a series he left me. More of these are in the book. You can purchase the book directly from me, http://scottbsmith.photoshelter.com/gallery/The-Orange-Bowl-Book/G0000_36Mn_sTCUk/ or by going through the printer:

Don't quote me on this, but I think he once told me there were about 55 to 60 thousand people living in the city about this time. Hard to believe now, isn't it? So, if that were the case, it's not hard to image the Orange Bowl Classic football game was THE place to be.
